Не говорите так быстро, я не успеваю класть х*р на ваши слова.

Между урлом и скобками не должно быть пробелов, во-первых.
{background: url('/userdir/2/4/2/4/2424289/70362505.jpg');}
А во вторых, непонятно, вы пытаетесь картинку поставить на фон или цвет все-таки?

И вот еще: #globalLinks ul {background: #ffd39a; width= 200px !important; position: absolute; top: 50px; left: 10px; margin-left: 0px; padding:25px; }
Равно вместо двоеточия.

Тайя, которая душит романтиков, вставлять в фон можно и цвет и картинку одновременно, если картинка меньше экрана, то остальная часть зальется цветом.
тут, мне кажется, все-таки проблема в пробеле после url.
